Second to stovetop oatmeal (and a very close second at that) is CLASSIC OVERNIGHT OATS!
Overnight oats are SO easy to make, are a great option for breakfast on the go, and I LOVE that they can be prepped the night, or. a few nights, before you need them! There are so many different variations you can do with overnight oats, but like most things, I typically keep mine pretty simple with this quick and easy recipe for CLASSIC OVERNIGHT OATS!
My go to is always to make overnight oats in an empty nut butter jar! I always have one on hand because my nut butter collection is truly insane, and the leftover nut butter at hte bottom of a jar should NOT be wasted! Get all the flavor and added fats by using those last couple tablespoons you can’t quite reach by making overnight oats.
Again, oats are also always about the toppings – my staples are yogurt, berries and MORE nut butter – ALWAYS!

Step 1. no need to cook the oats – that’s probably the best part! Add 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 – 3/4 cup nut milk, cinnamon, maple syrup and vanilla into an empty nut butter jar (or any jar you have). – OPTION here to add in protein powder, more flavors, nuts, seeds, etc. I just like to keep mine simple 🙂
Step 2. Close the lid, then shake vigorously to incorporate all ingredients.
Step 3: Store the oats int he fridge overnight, or at least for 2-3 hours.
Step 4. Remove from the fridge, pour in a bowl, and add all your favorite toppings (or eat it on the go)!
