Yogurt toast is a simple, healthy, filling, and satisfying breakfast that only involves 3-4 simple ingredients that you constantly have on hand in the fridge and pantry!
When I first saw someone else post about yogurt toast a few years back on Instagram, I was extremely skeptical! I can completely understand if you are feeling the same way right now. But trust me when I say this is the FALL breakfast you never knew you needed.
She’s flavorful, simple, filling, satisfying, delicious, easy – well I could go on, but do I even need to?

This slice of yogurt toast may seem more like a dessert since Apple Pie is in the name, but I promise you can have it for breakfast too! It still has whole grain carbs in the bread, protein in the yogurt, carbs and fiber in the apple, and healthy fats from the nut butter. Plus all of the FALL flavor that comes from caramelized cinnamon apples.
Now that I’ve enticed you by describing it layer by layer, how about we get to building this bad boy!

Here’s How to Do It!
The first step is to toast up your favorite bread (I usually use sourdough or this gluten free option). Next, I mix up plain greek yogurt (of course you can use dairy free yogurt if you need to – I’ve linked my favorite brand for you) with a little cinnamon and some sweetener. You can choose sugar, but some of my favorite non-sugar options are either maple syrup or monk fruit + stevia. Once mixed, we top the bread with the yogurt mixture.
For this slice, you will have to sauté the apples before piling them on. To do this, I typically cut the apple into little cubes, then toss it with some cinnamon. Next, I highly recommend oiling the pan with either butter or coconut oil. At a medium-high heat, toss those apples on and let them sauté (while occasionally stirring) until golden brown.
Once the apples are done, place them on top of the yogurt – and pile them HIGH!
Finally, saving the best for last of course, we drizzle on almond butter. You can’t have a slice of toast without a drizzle, it’s fact. The sweetness of the almond butter just pairs so nicely with the cinnamon apples and cinnamon yogurt!
I’ll always say it – don’t be shy with the drizzle. Here’s my favorite almond butter to use for a spectacular drizzle every time!
So again, yogurt toast can come in SO many variations (just check out all of my other Yogurt Toast creations for some inspiration). But, if you’re looking for a classic that will never get old, then this toast is simple and made just for you!

Awesome blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers?
I’m hoping to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost
on everything. Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid
option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed ..
Any suggestions? Bless you!
Hi, thanks so much for the support! I would suggest a free platform to get started – I really enjoy either Squarespace or WordPress. Best of luck 🙂
